Young AFCEAN Program Award
Kaiserslautern Chapter 158 has always had an outstanding Young AFCEAN Program. The program is outstanding because the majority of the young Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Airmen in the Communications Groups at Ramstein AB belong to the chapter and because a number of these young members enthusiastically volunteer to be board members or to support the chapter for special events or projects. These young members play a significant role in the success of the chapter each year while at the same time improving their job and leadership skills by participating in the numerous programs that the chapter has.

Col Tracy Phillips, USAF
This Award recognized Col Phillips' dedicated service to the Association, combined with a sustained level of professional excellence in the fields of communications, electronics, intelligence and information systems.

Meritorious Service Award
CMSgt Rick Lechner, USAF
This Award recognized CMSgt Lechner's record of significant contributions to the Association, in combination with exceptional professional performance in the fields of communications, electronics, intelligence and information systems

Distinguished Young AFCEANs
Capt Pablo R. Juarez, USAF
1st Combat Communications Squadron
Central European Region
In 2007, Capt Juarez served as Chapter 158's treasurer, managing a $42K budget. He delivered $22K+ to military and civilian scholarship recipients. He also promoted his chapter in several events reaching five bases and 53,000 people. Finally, his aggressive budget funded a Technical Exposition that attracted 640 attendees, 63 vendors and 35 distinguished visitors.

TSgt Peter Christ, USAF
1st Combat Communications Squadron
Kaiserslautern Chapter
Technical Sergeant Peter Christ is the Treasurer for the Kaiserslautern Chapter. As a member of this year's Tech Expo planning team, he ensured the success of the Chapter's Golf Tournament, raising $22,000 for college scholarships. Additionally, TSgt Christ was recognized during the chapter's annual sport day for recruiting five personnel.

1st Lt Kenneth P. Malloy Jr., USAF
1st Combat Communications Squadron
Kaiserslautern Chapter
First Lieutenant Malloy is the Secretary for the Kaiserslautern Chapter. During the 2007 Summer Tech Expo, he flawlessly organized the visit of AFCEA International Executive VP, LTG John Dubia, USA (Ret). Lt Malloy also organized monthly luncheons bridging relationships between the chapter and corporate IT members. Finally, his selfless commitment raised $20K for scholarships.

Winner of Diversity for 2005, 2006 and 2007
This Award is given to the chapter which has most significantly contributed to the inclusion, contribution, leadership and professional development of under-represented AFCEAN's, women, enlisted personnel, young people and other minorities, by providing a forum of programs and initiatives geared to their unique needs.

Model Chapter of the Year for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006
This award is given to chapters who have exceeded in accomplishing their Action Plan via development and refining their Goals and Objectives completely.

Ingles Winner (Medium Chapter) for 2002, 2004, and 2007
Awarded to chapters which have most significantly contributed to the goals of AFCEA.

Winner Recruiting for 2001, 2002, and 2003
This award program recognizes outstanding recruiting of chapter members-ours being the majority of the young Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Airmen; due to these young members enthusiastically volunteer to be board members or to support the chapter for special events or projects we have garnered this accomplishment. The members volunteer/service plays a significant role in the success of the chapter each year while at the same time improving their job and leadership skills by participating in the numerous programs that the chapter has.
